Solving ' KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED' Error in Windows XP

A Windows XP computer system is prone to errors due to damaged or corrupted device drivers, memory problems, disk corruption, incompatible components and more. In worse conditions, these errors can make it unable to boot completely. Thus, a complete and valid data backup is required in case of any data loss. Alternatively, you can also use a data recovery utility to scan and locate it.

For instance, a Windows XP-based computer system might give one or both of the boot-time error messages:

“Stop 0x0000001E”

Or

“KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED”

You cannot boot into the computer after you receive this error message and cannot access the data stored on disk. Such errors can also be received while normal operations of system.

Cause

The error results when Windows kernel detects an invalid or illegal instruction. This could occur due to any of the possible reasons:

Faulty drivers or system services have been installed IRQ or memory issues If error statement includes Win32k.sys file, it could be third-party 'remote-control' application issue Incompatible firmware Insufficient disk space Memory leak issues by a service or an application Disk or operating system errors

Solution

You should use following solutions to solve the problem:

Rollback the system to Last Good Configuration Try to remove or disable the faulty drivers or system services In case of third-party 'remote-control' program issue, you can boot the computer in safe mode and use Recovery Console to delete it Update your system to the latest firmware available Try to free up the disk space by removing unneeded files Use Memory Pool Monitor to solve memory leak issues Start the system using installation disk to launch Recovery Console and run chkdsk. If required, reformat and reinstall the system

There can be situations, when you find your data inaccessible irrespective of solutions applied and also, due to no valid backup availability. To solve them, use a powerful data recovery software. Built with high-end scanning algorithms to locate missing data, these are comprehensive partition recovery tools. Data Recovery tools provide you graphically rich user interface to implement them easily.
