Damaged Hard Drive Partition Resulting in Data Loss

Partitioning of the hard drive is done to divide the storage space of the hard disk into separate areas. This enables you to store the files and the operating system separately in different partitions. But, unfortunately hard drive partitions are prone to corruption or damage. Few factors responsible for their damage are virus infection, power outage, new software updates, unexpected system shutdown, etc. When a hard drive partition gets damaged, you can no more access the data stored in it. Thus, it is always recommended to backup your data regularly. But, if you have not backed up your data, or the backup falls short, then you need to use professional Hard Drive Recovery services to restore the data.

Sometimes, you may encounter an error message similar to the following while accessing a hard drive partition:

“Drive Not Formatted. Do you want to format now?”

This error message indicates that either certain parts of the hard drive partition are not ready for use with the operating system or the partition is damaged or corrupted. Also, the problem still persists even if you restart the system or do not click on the 'yes' option. This error message is most prevalent in Windows and Macintosh operating systems

Resolution: To resolve the issue, you are left with no other option but to format your hard drive. In case you are using a new hard drive in which no data is stored, then you can format the hard drive without any fear. But, if the hard drive you are using contains loads of data, then formatting the hard drive would not be much beneficial as you will eventually lose all your hard drive data. In such situations, you need to opt for Hard Drive Data Recovery. According to the scenario in this article, data loss has occurred due to logical reasons, so you need to use a powerful data recovery software to recover your data. These application employ high-end scanning mechanisms to offer quick and accurate Hard Drive Recovery from the formatted hard drive. These software are provided by data recovery companies.
