How to repair files infected by W32.Blackmal.E virus

A virus is an application that reproduces itself, without any support and causes great harm to the computer data. These days, even with strong mechanisms to block the malicious programs, one can easily get virus infection either through the Internet or any other media. Because of the virus, the system can behave abnormally, like the files may get corrupted or deleted. So, it is imperative for you to take evasive action to counter the virus infections.

One such virus is the W32.Blackmal.E virus that usually spreads to the user systems by means of email advertisements for adult movies as an attachment. Generally the message body or the subject is such that it prompts the user to open the attachment. The text would be short and simple like, You Must View This Videoclip! It's Free! Note: forwarded message attached, forwarded message or I just any one see my photos.

If you open (or download) the attachment, then the virus will install itself on your system. Then, it uses your email address to forward the same email message to all your contacts. It can also spread through network connections. It attempts to change the extensions of some specific files with any random text. These files can be .doc, .xls, .ppt, etc. And this operation is done on the 3rd of every month. Interesting, isn't it??

To remove this virus, you should use an antivirus. But please make sure that the antivirus is updated with the latest virus definitions. And to avoid such issues in future, you should ensure that you do not open any email attachment that you have received from any unknown source. And you should scan each and every email attachment with your antivirus even if it has come from a known and trustworthy source. You never know whose system is infected with such a virus.

However, even after using an antivirus, if your files are not opening, then you should use a third-party file recovery software to repair and restore the virus-infected files. These read-only tools perform file repair without overwriting the damaged files. They create a new copy of the file by saving all the recovered data in it.

File Repair Software created by Stellar Information Systems Ltd., have a highly interactive platform that enable you to repair the damaged files. This software support file recovery of various types of files such as .doc, .xls, .ppt, .bkf, .zip, etc. These tools are compatible with Windows 7, Vista, Server 2003, XP, and 2000.
