Can Not Restore Vista Backup on x86 Bit Version, Created on x64 Bit Version

Microsoft Windows Vista is an advanced and powerful operating system by Microsoft Corporation. The operating system is available in two different editions- x86 32 bit and x64 64 bit. Both the editions have different features and work on different hardware platforms. The performance of both these is also varying. In some situations, various files that are created on x64 bit edition, does not open on x86 version and you come across critical data loss situations. In such critical situations, data recovery software come for your help to retrieve lost data.

As a practical example of this problem, consider the below scenario:

You lose your valuable data from Windows Vista hard drive due to any reason, like file system corruption, hard drive formatting, operating system malfunction, and other similar ones.

You need to use a complete image of your system, which you have created before system crash or data loss.

You have Microsoft Windows Vista x64 bit edition on SATA hard drive and backup image is stored on USB hard drive. Windows Restore finds backup image when you plug in the backup drive, but it can not start the copy process. Here you get an error message, stating- “Can't restore backup because it was made on a X64 system and your computer is a X86 system”

The restore process does not start and your system remains unusable. In such critical situations, you need to find out the solution of this problem as quickly as possible and perform data recovery. You can try out the below methods to sort out this behavior of Microsoft Windows Vista computer-

Use Windows Recovery disk, which comes with Windows Vista SP1 pack. Create a Windows recovery disk, which provides you the access of Startup Repair options of Windows Vista. Access the startup repair options and fix the problem.

Use your hard drive with another Windows computer, running Windows Vista and restore backup.

Use third-party data recovery tools to throughly scan entire Windows Vista hard drive and retrieve all lost data from it.

The data recovery software use advanced and powerful scanning algorithms to methodically scan the drive and extract all inaccessible data from it. The applications are incorporated with interactive and rich graphical user interface to ensure easy recovery.

Windows Data Recovery is the best recover application ever made that insure absolute recovery in all data loss situations. The software works well with Microsoft Windows 7, Vista, 2003, XP, and 2000. It recovers data from NTFS5, NTFS, FAT32, VFAT, FAT16, and FAT12 file system partitions.
