How to Recover SharePoint 2007 when You are Unable to Connect SharePoint Server?

SharePoint provides a business collaboration platform for the enterprise and the web to facilitate knowledge sharing within the organization. It is a very useful product suite that enables the users to create and manage their own websites. Also, it is able to seamlessly integrate with Windows and MS Office applications, which is a very helpful feature. It combines with MS SQL Server to store all of its data in the form of .MDF files, which can become inaccessible when they are damaged. You should look into the matter and try to workaround the problem to solve it. If you are unable to address the issue, then an effective third-party SharePoint Server recovery should be used to repair the corrupt MDF file.

Let us consider a situation in which you are using MS Office SharePoint Server 2007. You remove and reinstall it and try to configure the single sign-on (SSO) service. However, you are unable to do so and the following error message is displayed in this regard:

“Failed to connect to the database server. Verify connectivity and rights for the configuration account and try again.” Cause:

The problem appears if SharePoint Server 2007 tries to create an SSO database by using the same database name that was used by an earlier instance of SharePoint Server 2007. Also, it may be possible that the MDF file got damaged and therefore is unable to connect to the database server.

Resolution:

To overcome this problem, you can use any of the following methods:

Delete the Sso.mdf and Sso_log.ldf database files: You should delete the Sso.mdf and Sso_log.mdf files using the following steps: You should create a backup of the database files. Delete the original files. Now, try to configure the SSO service on the server that is running SharePoint Server 2007. Use a different SSO database name: As an alternative, you can also use a different SSO database name to configure the SSO service.

If the problem is still persisting, then you should use a third-party SharePoint Recovery software to repair the damaged database file. These highly interactive tools are extremely efficient that recover all the data without further damaging the original MDF file.

Stellar Phoenix SharePoint Server Recovery is the most robust software that repairs damaged or inaccessible SharePoint database (.MDF) files to recover all kinds of data and documents. Supporting SharePoint recovery of MDF files created in MS SQL Server 2008, 2005, and 2005 and implemented in MS SharePoint Server 2010 and 2007, this SharePoint repair software recovers different types of documents including articles, blogs, wikis, etc. Compatible with Windows 7, Vista, Server 2003, XP, and 2000, this SharePoint Server recovery software displays the preview of the recoverable components before the actual recovery.
