Resolution:

One of the following steps can fix this problem of incompatibility :-

For PATA (Parallel Advanced Technology Attachment) hard disks, configure it as the master but for SATA (Serial Advanced Technology Attachment) hard disks, you need to connect the hard disk cable to the motherboard at master channel SATA connector.

Connect another device as master for the SATA hard disks. It could be another hard disk, CD or DVD.

Change the SATA, PATA and IDE cable even if they are all right.

If the resolution steps mentioned above do not fix your problem, you may have to format your system but that would imply deletion of the data saved in it. That will not serve the purpose of disk recovery.
