Exchange Recovery When Unable to Mount Public Folder

Sharing of information or vital data with your company employees can be easily done with the Microsoft Exchange Server systems. MS-Exchange Server uses public store folder. These folders are well structured databases. Once the Exchange Server gets started, you become able to mount public folders. But at times, you fail to mount the public folder store due to some reasons. In these reasons, corruption of Exchange Server database file is also included. You can try to repair it by inbuilt methods. If still it remains unrepair, then it is good to use a third party Exchange Recovery Software.

Below discussed error message gets displayed when your attempt to mount the Exchange public folder store fails, and you receive the same problem like this:

“An internal processing error has occurred. Try restarting the Exchange System Manager or the Microsoft Exchange Information Store service, or both. ID no: c1041724 Exchange System Manager”

When you check the Application event log, you find the following event ID: “Source: MSExchangeIS Event ID: 9519 Type: Error Computer: Exchange Error 0x8004010f starting database "First Storage Group\Public Information Store (Exchange)" on the Microsoft Exchange Information Store.

Source: MSExchangeIS Public Event ID: 1133 Type: Information Computer: Exchange Allocating message database resources for database "First Storage Group\Public Information Store (Exchange)".

Source: MSExchangeIS Public Event ID: 1000 Type: Information Computer: Exchange Attempting to start the Microsoft Exchange Information Store "First Storage Group\Public Information Store (Exchange)".

Cause:

Causes that are responsible for above generic error are as follows: Deletion of first Exchange Server. Due to this conflict, respective public folder gets transferred to the container named as 'LostAndFound'. Same problem also occurs when the old public store or the server gets transferred to the

It may also be possible that the old public store and/or the whole server is moved to the container named as 'LostAndFoundConfig'.

Solution:

By following measures, you can solve the issue:

With the help of Active Directory Users and Computers, you can carry out the deletion of public folder store from the 'LostAndFound' container. By using ADSI Edit, you can delete the public folder store from the container named as 'LostAndFound'.

Before performing any of the above mentioned measure, be sure that the existing public folder store is referred by Default Public Store.

Now, if also you are not able to mount the Exchange Public Store folder, then it means that Exchange Server database is damaged, and there is a need to perform Exchange Server Recovery. Such tools perform Exchange recovery in a safe manner. No prior recovery experience is needed before using the tool. You need to have adequate knowledge of computers.
