Restoring files lost due to updates in Windows Vista

In today's world, the number of computer users is growing like mushrooms in the rainy season. With so many users now depending on the computers, the significance of the computer data has become equally important. That is why we should try to safeguard our computer data with every possible technique such as using updated antivirus, taking routine backups, etc. However, at times you may lose the files or folders despite keeping very good care of them. Such scenarios can occur due to various reasons such as virus infections, human errors, power outages, bugs in the operating system, etc. In such cases, you should check if you have a backup of the deleted files. If not, then you should use a third-party data recovery software to perform file recovery of the deleted files.

Consider a scenario wherein you are working on your Windows Vista system with the system downloading few critical updates. After the update is done, a message box pops up that prompts you to restart the system, which you duly perform. However, after the restart you discover that all the files in your user profile are not there. You check your system a number of times but to no avail.

Cause:

The root cause of this problem is that the files may have got deleted during the Windows upgrade process. When the files are permanently deleted from the system, they still remain in the system. It is just that the pointer that point to the operating system about these files is deleted. Also, the operating system is informed that new space is now available for new files and folders. However, the files continue to remain in the hard disk as long as no new file is written to the disk.

However, to recover the deleted files you need to use a third-party File recovery software. Such file recovery tools are read-only in nature that are highly interactive and use fast yet sophisticated scanning algorithms to ensure easy, safe, and secure file recovery.
