WebCreationUK would like YOUR thoughts on our new Website
Posted on Sunday, April 27, 2008 at 2:58 PM
Dear Forum,

After long nights, working weekends, canceled holidays and lack of any social life that we may once of had, we are pleased to announce the launch of our new company flagship website.

However, we would be simply delighted if anyone within this forum would be kind enough to add / share any comments on whether we have constructed the website in-line with best SEO practice. Being SEO conscious, we feel that we have in included the majority of good and reasonable SEO techniques but would feel even better if anyone reading this could let us know if we have done well, if have made any silly mistakes, and if we can make any short, medium to long term improvements.

We are currently riding on page one on Google UK under such phrases as 'web designers, website design' and would like to stabilize this position, with obvious wishes to push up the ranks where and when possible.

On Page Vs Off Page SEO

On-site Search Engine Optimisation

On-site search engine optimisation can come in two stages, the first stage being initial optimisation. The aim is to create each page of your web site so that it tells the search engines exactly what it is about through the use of semantic HTML. At this stage we are shooting in the dark, since we don't know exactly what people are searching for to find your products and services. However, we use a number of tools we have available to us to guess what keywords people are searching for. It also takes a certain amount of common sense, e.g. if your web page is selling organic plumss it would be highly probable that you would like it to be optimised for the keyword 'organic plumss'. It is possible to increase the amount of keywords a web page is optimised for, which is carried out in the second stage of on-site search engine optimisation.
