Pop-quiz:

Is there a way in WIN32 that you can access a specific address in main memory that where you want to store data, like if you wanted, for some odd reason, to store the integer 234 in address 0xCC000002.

Anyone know how? :)

Reply if you do.

You need Ring 0 priveledge for that. There is code to get

Ring 0 access, but you need to know advanced (I.e. systems level)

assembly or be willing to right a VXD. Mail me if you want

the code, but it's pretty cryptic ASM.

You could try that operation normally, however, it probably

cause a GPF. As it is, just randomly poking stuff in Ring 0

will probably crash things pretty badly too..
