I found out ways to program a simple screen saver

    example in my Borland 5.02

    Window 95 API help file.

  • What's this "screen saver utility" ? Are you talking about the

display properties in the control panel? It just lists files

in C:WINDOWS (for example) that have the file extension .SCR.

Clicking on the Settings... button sends a /C parameter (config)

to your program's command line and runs it. Clicking on the

Preview button sends a /P parameter and runs your program.

So, you need a program that can process these command line

parameters and treat them appropriately. Here's some:

/S = start screen saver normally

/P XXXX = create a preview box with parent window (XXXX is parent handle no.)

/A XXXX = change password (XXXX is window handle no., only on Win95)

    /C = start config box

    (null) = start config box
