i got this when trying to run a program from a book
this it the error
Permission denied
C:Dev-CppMyProjectsgame1Makefile.win [Build Error] [../game_engine/Skeleton.o] Error 1
there are 2 .cpp files,3 .h files and 2.rc files
it is a windows app
help plz

    I never got that error, but I'll try to help.

    It looks like a linker error. Are there any other
    errors/warnings before/after this error? Is the files
    write-protected? Could you recompile the files as
    a different project? Did you directly copy the code
    from the books' CD?

    Im making guesses here as I never had that error.[/blue]

    I just noticed that you have 2 *.rc files. That doesnt
    seem right...Every program can only have one resource script.

    are you running an antivirus program on your computer? I sometimes get similar errors on Windows 2000 and XP with Norton Antivirus. The solution, turn Norton off when you are editing programs, or make sure to re-save the files, or rebuild.
