I've made a wroking program (as a 'standard exe'). It works perfectly on the network, but if I try it on any other machines (outside of the network), I get errors.
Firstly I get "missing file" I have included these two files. Now I get "unexpected error".
Ihave been told that sometimes, programs need to be compiled on their target machines.
I'm also told that installing VB on the target machine may include all necessary files.
Please help. This is my final year project, and if it doesn't run, I fail.

Unless you know the target machine has every needed file correctly installed, you should always make a setup package. (Doesn't really count for 16bit versions of VB as no registering of components is needed.) Both VB5 and 6 come with apps that make this package (5 - Application Setup Wizard; 6 - Package And Deployment Wizard).
